Ezra 1 New King James Version
End of The Babylonian Captivity
1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,
2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia:
All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. 3 Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem. 4 And whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.
I absolutely love this how the Lord God Almighty the one whom we serve, whom we are HIS children, spoke to a foreign kings heart to build HIM a house. The Lord opened his understanding and made him realize that it was God Almighty that gave to King Cyrus, as with our Country, our jobs, our marriages, the Lord can do amazing things. Yes we need to do our part in being informed and at the very least voting and being involved with our government, for we are the people, and with difficult bosses, spouses, there is a part we need to do, however I love this because God came through.
In Nehemiah, (please read the book of Nehemiah)Nehemiah had an undertaking were he fasted and prayed and went to the King Cyrus, to get permission and all the legal documents he needed to go to Jerusalem to build the walls.
It seems to me that Ezra was the spiritual aspect and Nehemiah was the practical aspect of how going to the Lord and the Lord working and then we need to do our part.
As with Churches, there are some excellent churches that the HOLY SPIRIT lives and reigns in them and the Lord Jesus is lifted high and our identities are in HIM and for those churches I am so ever thankful. That when someone has a problem they are not judged but like Jesus they are respected, encouraged and receive spiritual and practical answers through and with the HOLY SPIRIT, and I am so thankful for those churches.
Some are called to serve God in the church and we are called to be the CHURCH however, most of us are called to bring folks to the Lord not just to church, and for those churches that understand and respect that PRAISE GOD, many churches need to have an appreciation for those of us who are called like Jesus, Paul and Peter. I am unable to find one Scripture that says we are to bring a person to church, we are to bring them to the Lord, and unable to find on Scripture where someone was saved, healed or delivered in a church.
I do believe in respectfully agreeing to disagree, there is a lost and dying world out there and folks who love God and need to be respected and helped, we do not need to be spiritually arrogant, but allow the HOLY SPIRIT to flow through us. Giving and receiving.
This church I was going to the Pastor was asking me why I never brought anyone to church and I mentioned we are to bring them to the Lord and it was there choice to find the right church (I did not mention to this Pastor that if he could not minister to me when I was hurting why would I bring those who were hurting to this church.) Practical Aspect if a Doctor can not help me why would I recommend that Doctor to anyone else. The spirit of legalism needs to be rid in us, and it is not all about the church it is about what Jesus, Paul and Peter did, they walked around and healed, set free, and many were saved. Once again I am unable to find one scripture where a person was saved, healed, or delivered in a church or synagog, and not once did I find where Jesus, Paul or Peter told someone to go to church. Yes there I am fully aware of do not forsake the assembly of ourselves, however if we take the whole counsel of God, I am unable to find a scripture where folks got saved, healed or delivered in a church or synagog.
Many of us are called to be a light in a dark place, we are the ones who are in the workplace, in the stores, etc...being a light in a dark place and some are hard pressed to find love and acceptance in a church setting, many of my calls I have to tell them that I am not here to judge them but do deliver what the word says and to have them start with the Lord in whatever area they are needing and believing the Lord with them for their healing and deliverance, there love and acceptance in the Lord and leading them to the righteousness that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, and yes sin is sin. It is the HOLY SPIRIT'S job to work in and through us. Not our job to heap condemnation on folks.
